Dr. Mark Friedman
Founding partner
Immediately after receiving his PhD in engineering from Princeton, Mark moved to Houston to become a senior R&D engineer at Shell Oil, where he worked for ten years. After obtaining his law degree, Mark switched to patent law, and, as part of a Houston IP firm, litigated in US Federal District and Appellate courts and in the US Supreme Court and prosecuted patents in the USPTO.
In 1991 Mark moved with his wife and five young children to Israel, where, in 1993 he established the firm. From the beginning, the firm filed and prosecuted all applications for patents, designs and trademarks in the USPTO directly without the assistance and additional expenses of a US-based IP firm.
The firm, which was initially a one-man show (or as Mark likes to say, consisted of only three - "me, myself and I"), has steadily grown over time and now includes some of the very best IP practitioners in Israel along with numerous support staff, all working together flawlessly like a well-oiled machine. The firm has consistently been considered as one of the best IP firms in Israel, if not the best.
